Smallish in size, the range is situated just beside the ever popular Warren golf course. And with only 26 tee-off mats on both the ground and first level respectively, the range gets filled up with golf enthusiasts pretty quickly during weekends and Friday nights.
Although it was quite a challenge finding the range especially to someone who lives in the central part of Singapore, it was well worth the effort as I was treated to a very pleasant practice session, on the tee-off mats and golf balls that looked new and almost un-used. I also learnt from the academy that on certain days, the lanes get completely filled up with university students, who are there to take advantage of the special student’s privileges such as discounted clubs and accessories, and golfing tips offered by the academy trainers to students aspiring to perfect their drive.
Quite basic in amenities, the no-frills range offers golfers a no-nonsense workout session, unlike some of the other ranges on the island that are well-laden with numerous other pleasures such as wine bars, cafes, pool tables, massage parlors, et cetera.
