1. On the course

1.1 Beat the elements

When playing on the course, there are many variables to consider. Wind is one of them. Under estimating this can reduce the shot's distance. You can use one club higher in a crosswind from either direction. Cold weather also reduces how far ball flies. Moisture on the face of the irons reduces spin on shots and the ball won't fly as high or check as much on the green.

1.2 Make it a true practice shot

When you have to hit a shot from the deep rough, don’t waste time making mindless swing. Try to pick a spot where the grass is similar to the area around your ball. Practice your swing at the same depth that your ball sits. Get a feel of how much resistance you are going to encounter and calibrate for that when you actually hit the shot.

1.3 How to improve my game by keeping track of critical statistics.

Keeping track of my game and score can help me discover my areas which requires improvement

Things that you can record

1. Number of Fairway hits

2. Number of Greens hit

3. Number of putts on each hole

4. Ups and downs on slopes

5. How close I get from chips and bunker shot.

Track theses statistic and you will soon be able to identify the areas that you need to work on
